At Westonbirt you will find an inspired community, set within 210 acres of parkland grounds and a breathtaking Victorian mansion. Rated excellent for academic achievement and pastoral care by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), 90% of students attain places at their first-choice university.
Parents increasingly appreciate that a greenhouse, not a hothouse, is the optimum environment for children to flourish. At Westonbirt, we combine this with the passion and commitment from staff which fuels learning and holds the expectation, that each child will fulfil their potential and beyond. As a small school that proudly punches above its weight; Westonbirt pupils are regularly selected to play for county and national sports teams, whilst drama students perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival – over two-thirds of pupils play at least one musical instrument.
Westonbirt’s parkland grounds, featuring sports pitches, multi-use courts and private woodland provide ample space for students to explore.
Often described by Westonbirt students as a second family, the thriving boarding community is diverse, welcoming and ever-growing.
Westonbirt offer a wide range of Scholarships to recognise academic, sporting, musical (including Choral), dramatic (including Performing Arts) and artistic talent. Scholarships are normally awarded on entry to Y7, Y9 and Y12, and come with a discount of 10% to tuition (day) fees. All scholarship applicants will be required to undergo an assessment.
