Founded in 1829 by King George IV and the Duke of Wellington, King’s College London is one of the most famous universities in the world. It is consistently ranked among the top universities in both the UK and the world. The university has grown through merging with other institutions including Chelsea College, Institute of Psychiatry and Queen Elizabeth College. The University of London was established in 1836 with King’s and UCL as its two founding colleges making it the fourth oldest university in England.
During the summer, King’s College London is the location of Bucksmore Education summer courses. Established in 1979, Bucksmore Education is an award-winning academic short course provider. We aim to support every student towards achieving their goals, whether this is studying at a top UK boarding school or university, or becoming a future leader in business, politics, or any other sphere of life.
Positioned right in the city centre in state-of-the-art premises of the Strand Campus, students are less than a mile from famous landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Classes take place in the Virginia Woolf building, whilst meals and activities take place in the main building on the Strand, next to Somerset House.
The Bucksmore Education courses hosted at King’s College London enable students to immerse themselves into the English language and experience life in the environment of a top British university.
